European data center operator DEAC has acquired Dell's Authorized Service Provider (DASP) status thanks to successfully developed long-term collaboration with one of the leading computer hardware manufacturers in the world - Dell. The DASP accreditation is only awarded to Dell distributors that pass a stringent audit of their service delivery capabilities and that allows to improve the customer service quality.

At the significant Russian forum “The Data Center World 2010” DEAC shares experience on European data center opportunities

Just returned from Russia's largest data center forum “Data Center World 2010" ("Мир ЦОД 2010) held in Moscow, DEAC Head of marketing and development department, DEAC Oleg Naskidajevs expresses satisfaction of the participation in it. "Involvement in such industry events enables to exchange valuable information, experience, so to speak, to show oneself and look at others. Besides, there are great chances to meet industry players and discuss cooperation potentials, which would allow to develop available services more widely and internationally. Forum participants found DEAC experience very interesting, because we are aEuropean data center operator and our proposal provides countless advantages for companies in Russia. The forum once again allowed to strengthen the asurance that DEAC data centers and services are not left behind the large number of Russian IT companies but even are step forward in the innovations and quality," said O. DEAC participated in forum “Data Center World 2010" for the first time. What was the purpose of participation?

In this year’s spring we participated in round-table discussions organized by high-tech edition CNews.ru (http://events.cnews.ru/events/2010/08_04_10.shtml and http://events.cnews.ru/events/2010/15_04_10shtml). We realized that participation in events like that is very valuable experience. Forum in Moscow was not chosen by chance - DEAC target is to export much of data center services to Russia. Therefore we are primarily interested in experience exchange regarding backup data centers. We already have found partners and main grounds, but the company is constantly evolving, therefore actively looking for new opportunities. Russian market is large, with the skilled and wise action we can achieve very good export performances.

What is the experience of DEAC as a data center operator in Russia? How DEAC looks comparing to the Russian data center operators?

In the data center market DEAC is already eleven years. During the last about three of four years we have established good cooperation with Russian customers who is storing data in our data centers for extra security by using us as a backup data center. If one compares the infrastructure potentials and total rooms’ capacity of DEAC data centers “Riga” and “Grizinkalns” with the Russia's data centers than DEAC is ranked in the first top ten. Russian companies are very keen to use Latvia data centers as primary or backup. Also received references from forum participants again let us get validation that DEAC data centre services in innovation and quality is at very high level.

“Data Center World 2010" is the largest forum in Russia. Who participated in it?

This forum has become one of the biggest events of IT industry that brings together data center industry related companies - data center operators, system integrators, component manufacturers, technology developers and many others. Forum speakers are industry experts, such as virtualization guru from VMware Bernard Golden.

DEAC is recertified according to the ISO 9001:2008 international standard

One of the DEAC customer service anchors is the high data storage security and control over the quality of provided services. As confirmation to that DEAC in 2008 received the ISO 9001:2000 quality management certificate. This year DEAC was recertified according to ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard (QMS) that is the new version of QMS.

ISO 9001 is an international quality management standard, based on eight principles of good business practice - focuses on customer service, management, people involvement, process approach, systematic approach to management, continuous improvements, evidence-based decision making and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.

Now DEAC is actively preparing for the obtaining information security management system certificate ISO 27001. Data center infrastructure is adapted to the requirements of ISO27001 standard, staff training is being held, necessary technical solutions is being gradually integrated. It is important that these standards are not only on paper, but also that they are established in everyday data center operations.

DEAC offers to make payments using electronic invoices

Why e-invoice is necessary?

By agreeing to receive invoices electronically, you won’t have to worry about paper invoices in your mailbox, which tend to get lost or arrive late, thus reducing the risk of the penalty calculation and the service suspension.

How you will find out about the new e-invoice?

Every time you we will prepare a new e-invoice you will receive an e-mail message to your specified e - mail address. The message will contain a link that will lead to the current invoice. All you need to do is just to enter a password.

When the e-invoice payment term will expire, you will receive e-mail reminder about the payment deadline.

Modern power distribution equipment is installed in data center “Riga”

DEAC continues to modernize its data center infrastructure. In DEAC data center "Riga", the largest and most modern in the Baltics, modular power distribution equipment from data center solution manufacturer APC was installed. It allows efficient remote monitoring of electrical supply and preventative avoid interruptions of power supply separate connections.
