Data center "Riga"

The new DEAC data center “Riga” is now open. It is the biggest and most powerful data center in the Baltic States.

Data center’s “Riga” main parameters:
- In September 2009 - server rooms area 600 sq.m. - up to 200 RACKs or 8000 servers.
- Electricity power 2 x 1 MW. APC Symmetra MW UPS devices, SDMO diesel generators, Emerson Network Power climate control devices.
- Two independent power supplies and conditioning (N+1) systems (TIER 3/4).
- Communications by five different providers, using optical net technologies.
At next stage, in 2011 an expansion planned - server rooms area up to 1400 sq.m. (500 RACKs or 20 000 servers). A maximum server ares capacity is several thousand sq. m. - over 1000 RACKs or 40 000 servers).
The data center services can be used by any company – irrespective of its size or field of business. IT companies as well, can use the new data center as a technical support for the quality of provided services.
